Welcome to the 30th anniversary for Capoeiraskolen Senzala, where we celebrate the realisation of the dream and vision of capoeira for all people, across age, gender, race, and religion.
A house shaped by the thousand of people who through the past 30 years have been a part of the journey, and against all norms is stronger than ever.
It will be amazing to gather once again to celebrate life, each other, and capoeira.
Everyone is welcome, we are looking forward to seeing you.
Capoeira masters will be giving classes, which for adults are at three levels, while the children are split up according to age. All are welcome.
Come and feel the power and energy created when people join together across the boundaries of nationality, age, and gender – to battle, sing and dance in an explosive, positive and musical atmosphere.
Friday and Saturday, the students are celebrated with the annual capoeira party.
The newest Senzala students are baptized at the Batizado, where they play with a mestre or high level capoerista for the first time in public, with the whole extended capoeira community, along with family and friends as witnesses.
More experienced students will be given new belts according to their progress.
Saturday night we will host an after-party at the academy in Frederiksberg, from 21:00 - 03:00. Free entrance, bring your own drinks and dancing shoes.
We will serve feijoda (Brazilian national dish) from 21:00, price 80 DKK, limited, so first come first serve.
